Pepperminty Chocolatini – Holiday In a Glass
Godiva white chocolate liqueur with swirls of peppermint schnapps – for those who prefer to drink their dessert.
I’m an equal opportunity dessert consumer. And although I’m not a huge fan of sugary sweet libations, I can certainly entertain one of these martinis in lieu of dessert. Served chilled, this decadent white chocolate drink with its burst of peppermint goodness is like winter wonderland in a glass.
As it is my first full-fledged winter season in the east coast, I’ve been doing my snow dance to the snowstorm gods. But to no avail, NYC has yet to see white powder on our sidewalks as of today. Rumor has it though, that a winter storm is bound for Manhattan this weekend. I’ll keep my fingers crossed but until now, I’ll settle for this drinkable snow storm.

| 1 1/2 | ounces vanilla vodka |
| 1 | oz. Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur |
| 1 | oz. peppermint schnapps |
| 2 | ounces heavy cream or half & half |
| crushed peppermint candy for garnish |
- Coat the rim of the martini glass with simple syrup and garnish with crushed peppermint candy. Place the martini glasses in the freezer well in advance for a very frosty drink (optional). When ready to serve, combine vodka, chocolate liqueur, peppermint schnapps and cream in a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into frosted martini glasses and serve immediately.

all right, i’ll be honest–i’m not a big drinker. however, i would consume so many of these in such little time that i’d probably require a hospital stay, or at the very least, a stomach-pumping. it sounds AMAZING–white chocolate and peppermint is quite possibly my favorite dessert pairing. brilliant.

I really have to stop visiting food blogs. My appetite for indulgence will prevail and there goes my diet. Your pictures are amazing!

@Paul: Lol! Food blogs are quite notorious for their food porn. I’m a firm believer in moderation so that I can indulge in all the delectable treats. Good luck on your diet and hopefully you’ll keep stopping by for the photos at least

@Deborah: I hope you found the Godiva white chocolate liqueur. I had a bit of a scavenger hunt in Manhattan when I came looking for my own bottle. I ducked into every wine and liquor shop on my way home 20 blocks away. When I was at my wit’s end, I finally found the Godiva white chocolate liqueur at the shop right next door to our apartment. Naturally.
Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
